Your Role as a Teacher:
As a teacher, you will play a pivotal role in helping students navigate their educational journey, offering guidance and encouragement tailored to their needs. You will work collaboratively with a team of educators to create a vibrant and dynamic learning environment that fosters student growth and success. Whether mentoring individual students or leading group sessions, your expertise and passion for education will inspire the next generation of learners.
Key Responsibilities:
Homeroom Team:
Provide weekly accountability and positive reinforcement to students.
Offer customized learning resources and opportunities based on individual student needs.
Communicate regularly with parents to provide support and guidance.
Community Team:
Lead synchronous lessons and activities for both small and large groups of students.
Design engaging, interactive lessons that cater to diverse learning styles.
Student Success Team:
Mentor and tutor students enrolled in specific courses.
Assist students in overcoming academic challenges and achieving success.
General Responsibilities:
Identify students who may be at risk and collaborate to find solutions and interventions.
Work closely with fellow teachers to provide expertise and ensure a well-rounded educational experience.
Qualifications:
Active teaching certification.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
A deep understanding of the importance of individualized learning for each child.
Personable, patient, and organized with a supportive attitude.
Familiarity with Google tools (email, docs, sheets, etc.) is a plus.
Comfortable learning and using various online tools and platforms.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Access to a smartphone, high-speed internet, computer, and webcam.
Availability for 15-20 hours per week, with the flexibility to work during core business hours (10am - 3pm MT).
Eligible to work in the U.S. (remote work from approved locations is allowed).
Experience with non-traditional education programs is a plus.
Compensation:
Starting pay is $20 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
