These areas include Labor & Delivery, Peri Op, OB High Risk and Antenatal. This program has been devised by the nurses in the Labor and Delivery department and allows for a smooth transition into the L&D RN role for those candidates who qualify. The program is followed by continued residency meetings during months 6, 8, 10, and 12 to further develop as professional nurses and integral member of our caregiver team.Upon successful program completion, participants will be hired as a staff nurse within the Labor and Delivery unit at ChristianaCare. Nurse residents are required to pass State Boards and be licensed as a RN in the State of Delaware (or compact state) prior to starting position. Upon hire, a commitment agreement to work at the ChristianaCare will be signed. The agreement requires completion of two years within ChristianaCare and 15 months of those two years on the unit of hire.
