Family Medicine Physician - (OB, Peds Preferred)

Position Summary:
  • Exempt 
  • Flexible FTE - we can offer at least 20 hours and up to 40 per week.
  • Benefits eligible.
  • Under the general direction and supervision of the Medical Director and working under a contract.
  • The Family Practice Physician's primary job function is to provide clinic-based comprehensive primary care to patients of Southwest Montana Community Health Center (SWMTCHC).
  • The physician will provide team leadership that promotes a culture of safety, quality, cooperation, advocacy and collaboration.
  • Physician works independently and interdependently with other clinic providers including other primary care providers, behavioral health providers, clinical pharmacy and dental providers. Job performance is evaluated through direct observation, consultation, and written documentation.
  • Our providers enjoy access to AI-assisted charting tools and access to Maven, a platform for real-time consultation with specialists. 


Position Requirements:

  • M.D./D.O (unrestricted) with board certification in Family Practice Medicine; Pediatrics, or Obstetrics preferred.
  • Valid license/DEA in jurisdiction of clinic required.
  • Two years of experience in practice preferred.
  • Experience: Two years of prior experience in a primary care or community health center environment is preferred.
  • Experience serving vulnerable patient populations across the lifespan is highly preferred.

The PCMH model also emphasizes the importance of patient engagement, providing patients with the tools and resources they need to take an active role in their own health care. We opened our doors in 1986 under the name Butte-Silver Bow Primary Healthcare Clinic Inc. Our main clinic is in Butte, Montana, and we have locations in Dillon and Anaconda, Montana. We offer medical, dental, behavioral health, care management, pharmacy, and clinical pharmacy services to everyone. We accept most insurances and private-pay clients, as well as uninsured or underinsured clients. Our passion is to ensure that healthcare remains accessible and affordable to everyone. Our clinics care for more than 13,000 patients annually and employs more than 150 people in our various locations.
