Position Summary
The District Manager (DM) oversees multi-unit AutoZone operations and champions company initiatives to deliver exceptional performance across locations. This leadership role emphasizes clear communication, strategic decision-making rooted in metrics, and consistent process execution. The DM fosters a team-centered culture, hires and develops top-tier AutoZoners, and drives productivity within a safe, efficient, and customer-first environment.
Key Responsibilities
+ Cultivates a high-performing district culture focused on collaborative teamwork, customer satisfaction, sales growth, and employee retention.
+ Demonstrates exceptional communication skills in training, coaching, and performance counseling of Store Managers and staff.
+ Leads with integrity and vision, inspiring others through proactive leadership and professional development.
+ Evaluates store operations using measurable KPIs, showcasing strong metrics-mindedness to improve store performance and profitability.
+ Creates and executes business plans using a process-oriented approach to optimize operational consistency across locations.
+ Regularly visits stores and commercial accounts to reinforce performance expectations and ensure alignment with district objectives.
+ Coaches Store Managers on effective sales techniques, commercial growth strategies, and customer engagement.
+ Monitors and manages P&L, inventory accuracy, and cash flow controls, with a sharp eye for operational excellence.
+ Promotes a culture of accountability, providing ongoing performance feedback while recognizing outstanding contributions.
+ Resolves customer issues with professionalism, aiming to transform challenges into positive experiences.
+ Ensures compliance with safety protocols, company policies, and AutoZone's dress and conduct standards.
+ Works a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Supervisory Responsibilities
+ Directly supervises Store Managers and holds them accountable to performance, development, and staffing goals.
+ Builds a supportive, team-oriented environment where diversity, inclusion, and mutual respect are prioritized.
What We are Looking For:
+ High School diploma or equivalent
+ Five years of relevant experience
+ Proven success in leading teams, delivering results through effective processes, and driving performance using data
+ Strong communication, motivational, and problem-solving skills
+ Demonstrates high level of integrity and customer focus
+ Ability to manage multiple projects with accuracy and timeliness
+ Capable of interpreting and enforcing company programs, policies, and procedures
+ Comfortable with frequent travel

+ ASE Certification preferred
+ Strong people skills and effective communication in both Spanish and English.

Compensation Range: $68, 400 to $119,700, plus bonus
