Job Description

The Director of Substance Use Recovery - OP Therapy Services supervises therapists and counselors providing services in OP Adolescent and Adult SUD programs in various sites throughout the assigned region to ensure maintenance of utilization standard and quality of services. Provide program oversight and development to ensure ASAM standards. Ensure team coordination with OP Directors and the Directors of Substance Use Recovery and provide support to the DCCO.

This is a full-time, benefit eligible position. Candidate will be required to travel between Butler, Clinton, Warsaw, Nevada, Warrensburg, Raymore and Sedalia, when necessary. Office can be based out of any of these locations, contingent upon space available.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS include:

* Maintain quality and continuity of therapy provided in the OP Adolescent and Adult SUD Recovery Treatment Services including co-occurring disorder treatment
* Conduct and/or coordinate with Licensure/Certification Supervisor to provide weekly face to face supervision with staff and maintain appropriate supervisory documentation (One time weekly with unlicensed/probationary staff and as needed for licensed staff)
* Work with Quality and Compliance departments to identify staff in need of coaching as it relates to documentation and treatment standards
* Participate in Utilization Review for productivity, length of stay (number of sessions), pattern of care, no show/cancellation rates, scheduling, specialized UR for managed care companies, as required, for assigned offices
* Coordinate with outside agencies/entities and contractual agencies as appropriate to assigned programs and duties
* Conduct staff meetings monthly for overall agency communication, updates, and training
* Abide by all professional, certification and corporate ethical standards
* Assist with consultation and ongoing opportunity for skills development as professionally able
* Assist with clinical orientation of new staff, including familiarization tours, documentation, welcoming, etc.
* Review and co-sign and/or coordinate with licensure/Certification Supervisor to review and co-sign documentation for new staff (this includes notes, wellness plans) for the first 30 days of employment and/or as needed to ensure compliance with agency expectations and licensure/certification requirements
* Work with Compass Training Institute (CTI) to coordinate training of new and current staff
* Conduct AIM discussions with assigned staff to develop professional goals
* Approve requests for PTO/Leave and approve time sheets in Kronos
* Approve expense requests
* Follow up with consumers as needed
* Ensure program meets all certification requirements for the Division of Alcohol and Substance Abuse, ASAM, CARF or other accrediting agencies as required
* Assist in collaboration with the Substance Use Recovery Directors, in ASAM program development
* Participate in agency meetings as appropriate
* Monitor staff attendance and compliance with rules and regulations of the organization
* Utilize reports to manage programs effectively and efficiently

Master’s degree required

At least one (1) year of experience required

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:

LCSW, LPC or LMSW, PLPC required
