Civil Engineer / Project Manager

📍 Location: Denver, Colorado, 💼 Type: Direct Hire | Remote

💰 Salary: based on experience

About the Opportunity:

Our client, a nationally recognized civil engineering firm, is seeking a Civil Engineer / Project Manager to lead and manage diverse land development and infrastructure projects across the United States. This is a great opportunity for a driven, experienced civil engineer looking to take ownership of projects, mentor junior staff, and work in a collaborative and flexible environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, design, and oversee civil engineering projects, including land/site development, roadways, stormwater, water distribution, and sewer systems
  • Manage project lifecycles from concept through construction, including budgeting, scheduling, permitting, and stakeholder coordination
  • Prepare and review proposals, contracts, technical specifications, and engineering reports
  • Lead project meetings and act as the main point of contact for clients, agencies, consultants, and contractors
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal codes and regulations
  • Conduct field inspections and provide technical support during construction
  • Mentor and lead junior engineers, designers, and technical staff
  • Drive collaboration and continuous improvement within the team

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
  • Active Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • 5-10 years of relevant civil engineering and project management experience (land development preferred)
  • Strong understanding of site design, grading, drainage, utilities, and roadway infrastructure
  • Proficient in engineering software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and HEC-RAS
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • Willingness to travel to project sites when needed
